Cazoo Open supported by Gareth Bale is the new name of the
Wales Open. This year the tournament has a prize fund of €1,000,000.00 and
will be played at The Celtic Manor Resort as usual. 

Real Madrid superstar Gareth Bale will support this
week's Cazoo Open which is part of the European Tour calendar. Bale is
known for his obsession with golf and the Welsh footballer even has a
three-hole golf course at his home in Welsh. Bale is not the only sports star
who loves golf. See our list below with other five famous athletes who are
pretty good at golf too.

Seamus Power needed six extra holes yesterday at
the Barbasol Championship to win his first PGA Tour title. This number
sounds impressive, but it is not even close to the record for the longest
playoff in the history of the PGA Tour.

Die Golf Post Tour 2021 kehrt nach NRW zurück, am 17. Juli waren wir zu Gast im Bochumer Golf Club. Nach dem extremen Hochwasser der letzten Tage waren wir glücklich dieses Event austragen zu können, doch nicht ohne diesen Anlass zu nutzen, um Hilfe für die Betroffenen zu leisten. Gemeinsam mit unserer Community haben wir im Rahmen einer Tombola Spenden für die "Aktion Deutschland Hilft" gesammelt. Zusammen sind über 3.000 Euro für den guten Zweck zusammen gekommen.

Heute eine schöne Runde der Süd West Senioren Runde auf dem Golfplatz (Club) Bad Nauheim , bei bestem Wetter! 

Louis Oosthuizen leads the way at the 2021 Open Championship at 12 under par, but the tournament is still wide open. There are 17 players who are within seven shots of the lead so anything can happen. We should wait until tomorrow afternoon to see who will be named Champion Golfer of the Year, but here is what most (un)likely will happen in my opinion:

It was not the typical first day of an Open Championship in terms of scoring. The lack of rain and strong winds were in big favor of the players and 73 of them played Royal St George's on par or better. There was no drastic change in the weather in the afternoon but definitely the players from the morning session posted more scores in the red numbers than the afternoon starters. There is plenty of golf to be played before the end of the 149th Open and it will be interesting if these three surprising contenders after day one can keep the moment in the next rounds.

Put the best golfers in the world on a links golf course, add some wind and enjoy the show. That's exactly what I expect from the 149th Open which stars tomorrow at Royal St George's Golf Club. This week Royal St George's Golf Club will host The Open
Championship for the 15th time.

Min Woo Lee claimed his first Rolex Series title after a
brilliant play-off victory over Thomas Detry and Matt Fitzpatrick and secured
his place at next week's Open Championship. This will be Lee's first appearance
in the oldest golf major, but if we take a look at the statistics, he shouldn't
expect a great week at Royal St George’s GC.

Some of the best female golfers on the planet will travel to Ohio this week for the 36th Marathon LPGA Classic presented by Dana. The first edition of the tournament was played in 1984 and since then it has been played every year except 1986 and 2011. This year Marathon LPGA Classic has a prize fund of $2,000,000 and will be played at Highland Meadows Golf Club as usual. Seven past champions will tee it up at the Marathon Classic this week including the defending champion Danielle Kang.

Die Golf Post Tour 2021 legte ihren vierten Halt im wunderschönen Golfclub Hösel am Rande von Düsseldorf. Für das aus Köln stammende Golf Post Team ein regelrechter Katzensprung und eine schöne Abwechslung zu den Reisen in weitere Ferner. Auch wenn die Atmosphäre bei Übernachtungen am Turnierort kaum zu überbieten ist. Dieses mal konnte unser Team aber am Turniertag selbst anreisen und die notwendigen Vorbereitungen vor dem Kanonenstart um 11 Uhr treffen.
