According to the leading bookmaker’s world number four Sei
Young Kim will be the main contender on Sunday. The Korean finished tied for
12th at last week's KPMG Women's PGA Championship. She hasn't posted a top 10
since the Pure Silk Championship presented by Visit Williamsburg which was five
tournaments ago.
World number two Jin Young KO is the top ranked player in
the field this week. The Korean didn't play her best golf last week at the
Atlanta Athletic Club and as a result finished tied for 46th. She also lost the
top spot at the world ranking to Nelly Korda who won the KPMG Women's PGA
Championship.
Hyo Joo Kim, ranked sixth in the world, is another of the
favorites to lift the trophy on Sunday. Kim travels to The Colony, Texas with
high confidence after a solid performance last week at the KPMG Women's PGA
Championship. Kim tied for third which was her first top 10 finish since she
won the HSBC Women's World Championship in early May.
