voco Villach

Stayed here for business in February and the location is great. Walking distance to most things in Villach, plenty of restaurants to choose from. The room was a little odd with the bathroom design, but it worked fine. The only real complaint I had was the room was quite warm even with the heating all the way off. I frequently had to have the window open to have a reasonable temperature in the room. The breakfast was amazing with so many delicious options to choose from.

We didn’t expect this… But this hotel in Villach completely blew us away Excellent location in the city center, helpful and friendly staff, a stunning view of Villach’s old town, parking in underground garages with direct access to the hotel, and rooms that are functional yet thoughtfully designed. In higher-floor rooms like ours, the minibar is included in the room rate, and the price is more than adequate for the quality of accommodation and services — what more could one wish for? Perhaps only to find such a wonderful breakfast in every hotel as we had here at voco Villach. You enjoy breakfast in a beautiful, stylish setting with a glass wall overlooking the river and the old town of Villach, and the breakfast buffet is so rich and varied that we may never have encountered anything like it before — and we have stayed in dozens of four- and five-star hotels. The breakfast was so outstanding, with such a delightful atmosphere, that we simply must give the hotel the highest rating. Thank you to everyone at voco who took such great care of us for the lovely time we spent here.

The view from our room was glorious. Staff okay. Breakfast nice and a lot to choose from. A reasonable distance to walk from train station. All was clean. The layout of the room was interesting and practical. Wait staff very engaging.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Our stay at the voco IHG Hotel in Austria was absolutely wonderful! From the warm and friendly welcome at check-in to the spotless, spacious room (perfect for three of us), everything exceeded expectations. We really appreciated the complimentary bottled water waiting for us — a thoughtful touch after our drive. Parking was a bit tricky to navigate (4/5), but once settled, everything else was flawless. The breakfast was truly the best I’ve ever had at a hotel — it honestly felt like being on a cruise ship with its incredible variety, and every dish was fresh and delicious (5/5 for flavor!). A special thank you to Nina, who was exceptional — attentive, kind, and genuinely heartwarming. The hotel’s location couldn’t be better for exploring the town, offering gorgeous views all around. We also had dinner at the Lagana restaurant, which was excellent and beautifully presented. Overall, a fantastic experience from start to finish. We’ll definitely be coming back!

I wish I could give this place six stars. Impeccably clean and fragrance-free. The staff was very kind and helpful and they did it with a smile and made you feel at home. The rooms have all the little extras that make it comfortable I really felt it home here. Not to mention it isn't a perfect location between the train station and everything downtown. We would definitely come back.
