The Residence Tunis

We (family of 3, including a kid) stayed in off peak season in Feb. Sad to leave tomorrow. The hotel is immaculately clean, house keeping is amazing and this already makes you feel so great and luxury. Most of all, EVERYONE at this hotel was so nice and attentive, my daughter really enjoyed it too. Food was amazing, room was made every single day, swimming pool was well maintained, at the beach they brought us sun chairs and towels even though there was no one else. My daughter was probably the only kid but they allowed us to use the kid's room. And they helped me to get meds that I urgently needed!! (Thank you Hamdi and the doorman-sorry didn't catch his name). So kind of them!! Actually my friend recommended this hotel and we will definitely come back. See you soon again! :)

A fabulous 5 star hotel. We stayed there at both the beginning and end of our week long trip to Tunisia. Run by lots of great and very service minded staff, from the very good female directrice down to the most humble member of staff. A true highlight is the 50m2 very large Hammam, the beautiful (both indoor and outdoor) swimming pools, with both only a shortest walk to the private hotel beach. The grand gardens are an absolute delight, with even an educational element for children. Breakfast has been absolutely fantastic, with Tunisian Shakhshuka, Lablabi soup, and even healthy and unduted fresh strawberry juices. Highly recommended! Will return soonest!!

We loved staying at The Residence Tunis! The staff is super friendly and service is on point. The rooms are immaculate and spacious. The personal welcome note makes you feel at home and the beds are great. The breakfast is one big food feast, you can choose for a more international breakfast or enjoy the Tunisian style breakfast. They even make fresh bread and omelets on the spot. Again, service is on point. Because we were there in November, we enjoyed the indoor pool & spa. It was really relaxing. We had would definitely recommend staying here!

We stayed at The Residence Tunis from October 20–25 and had a wonderful experience overall. The property is located in Gammarth, slightly away from busy tourist areas, but the peaceful setting and beautiful private beach make it absolutely worth it. The hotel is immaculately clean and housekeeping is exceptional—rooms are fully serviced in the morning and refreshed again in the evening, with a fragrant jasmine flower left on each pillow nightly. The resort grounds are stunning, filled with olive, date, and citrus trees, giving it an authentic Tunisian charm. The pool is large, the beach is clean, and the indoor hammam, pool, and sauna are a great option on cooler days. Areas for improvement: While most staff members were incredibly kind and attentive, the front desk service fell short of the hotel’s luxury standard. Each time we approached reception, we felt rushed, and questions seemed like an inconvenience. This was surprising given how quiet the hotel was. Food quality could be improved, and outside food isn’t allowed. Also, irons are not provided in rooms—only paid pressing through laundry service, even for minor touch-ups. The indoor pool area could use maintenance, as the walls and ceilings have visible peeling paint. Overall: This is a beautiful and relaxing property, and we would recommend it to anyone visiting Tunis. With a few improvements, it could truly be world-class.

My stay at The Residence Tunis was absolutely wonderful and unforgettable, especially as it was my first visit to Tunis. From the moment I arrived, the hospitality stood out. A special mention to Sayda at the reception — she was incredibly polite, humble, and efficient. She prepared my room very quickly and personally escorted me to it, which made me feel genuinely welcomed. Throughout my stay, every staff member I interacted with was friendly, attentive, and kind. Khaled, Sofiane, Anis, and the rest of the team went out of their way to make sure everything was perfect. The atmosphere, service, and warmth of everyone here made this stay truly memorable. I’ll definitely look forward to returning and highly recommend The Residence Tunis to anyone visiting the city.
