The Capital Resort at Zimbali

Fantastic view, room and service(very helpful staff). Restaurant bar prices ridiculously expensive(Heineken beer R62, glass of wine R110, Whiskey R64 per shot). Shuttle service from airport quoted at R500!!! (paid Uber R119 for same )

We’ve been regular guests at The Capital Zimbali for several years, and after some concerns earlier in the year, we were invited back once we aired these concerns to management. I’m really happy to say the improvement was noticeable and impressive. From arrival to departure, the staff were intentional, attentive, and genuinely focused on making guests feel welcome and happy. The engagement from the team stood out - friendly, proactive, and thoughtful in their interactions, which made a huge difference to the overall experience. It was great to see the high standards and family-friendly atmosphere we originally fell in love with being restored. Credit to management and the team for listening to feedback and taking action. We truly enjoyed our stay and look forward to many more visits.

We visited as day visitors at the Stingray Cafe and the buffet restaurant. We paid R300 each for vouchers which are fully reedamable for meals and drinks. Our kids loved the huge swimming pool even though it is not heated. Entry into the estate is strict but guess it makes it safer there. The food at Stingray was good and above average pool bars. Atmosphere was great with attentive staff. Their Christmas Dinner was expensive, well decorated and had a great vibe. The food was not so excellent. I still do not recommend their buffet meals. We slept on previous occassions when it was still Fairmont. We still believe their room rates are overpriced and will not book with them.

She was always responsive to my queries and accommodated our group's requests with ease. The staff at Capital Zimbali were warm, welcoming, and attentive, making our event truly special. I'd also like to extend my thanks to Juan, whose dedication to providing excellent service was evident. The meals were outstanding, showcasing a range of delicious cuisine that catered to all tastes. However, it was the breathtaking ocean views that truly stole the show, providing a stunning backdrop for our celebrations. Overall, I highly recommend Capital Zimbali for any event. The combination of exceptional service, beautiful scenery, and delicious food makes it an ideal choice. Thank you to the entire team for creating a memorable experience – we'll be back!

I had an amazing weekend getaway with friends, and everything about the place exceeded my expectations. The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and always willing to go the extra mile to make sure we were comfortable. There are several on-site restaurants to choose from, each offering a unique dining experience. The bar, with its stunning views, is the perfect spot to unwind and enjoy a drink while soaking in the atmosphere. For families, there’s also a well-designed children’s play area that keeps the little ones entertained. Both the breakfast and lunch buffets were absolutely worth it — a wide selection of fresh, delicious dishes catering to every taste. And the swimming pools? Simply a breath of fresh air — crystal clear, inviting, and surrounded by a relaxing ambiance that makes you want to stay all day. Overall, it was a rejuvenating and memorable weekend, and I’d highly recommend this place for anyone looking to unwind, indulge, and enjoy great company in a beautiful setting.
