My experience at the Valsana Hotel has been totally disappointing. Despite canceling the reservation 7 days before, just by exceeding the deadline by 8 hours ( due to timezones), I was charged 100% of the stay. I tried to contact them in various ways, both by email and by phone, seeking a minimum flexibility, but there was none. This strict policy and the hotel's inflexible attitude show a tremendous lack of consideration for guests, something that does not correspond to today's hospitality world. I would not recommend it at all.
I find it unbelievable that, despite canceling 7 days in advance and presenting a medical certificate that clearly prevented my travel, you did not have the flexibility to understand that unforeseen circumstances happen in life. It is incomprehensible that you did not consider that I cannot accept your offer to reschedule my stay due to reasons beyond my control. Sincerely, I hope you never have to experience a similar situation and can understand the importance of flexibility and compassion."

This was a magical resort for my husband and I. We went in September for a quiet vacation before we have our first baby. We were looking for someplace serene, interesting, and luxurious. Arosa was an ideal town and Valsana was the perfect place to stay. Their service was impeccable and the staff was so friendly to us both. We loved getting breakfast everyday, using the heated pool and walking around exploring Arosa. I jumped into a yoga class that was welcoming for being 6 months pregnant and the gym was kept so clean it was inviting. We would recommend Valsana to anyone.

A Hidden Gem in the Heart of Arosa!
From the moment we arrived at this stunning hotel in Arosa, we were enveloped in a warm and inviting atmosphere. Nestled amidst the breathtaking Swiss Alps, the location offers unparalleled views and a tranquil escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
The staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive, making us feel right at home. Their hospitality was evident in every interaction, from the welcoming check-in to the thoughtful recommendations for local activities.
Our room was beautifully appointed, combining modern comforts with traditional Swiss charm. The plush bedding ensured a restful night's sleep, and waking up to the panoramic mountain views was simply magical.
Dining at the hotel was a highlight of our stay. The on-site restaurant offered a delectable menu that showcased local ingredients, and each meal was a culinary delight. The breakfast buffet was particularly impressive, featuring a wide array of fresh pastries, cheeses, and fruits to start the day off right.
For those looking for relaxation, the hotel’s wellness center was a sanctuary. After a day of skiing or hiking, indulging in the spa treatments and unwinding in the sauna was the perfect way to recharge.
Arosa itself is a charming village with plenty of outdoor activities year-round, and the hotel’s proximity to hiking trails and ski slopes made it an ideal base for our adventures.
Overall, our experience at this hotel was nothing short of extraordinary. It’s a place where luxury meets nature, and we can’t wait to return to create more unforgettable memories. Highly recommended for anyone looking to experience the beauty and tranquility of Arosa!

My room was surprisingly large and roomy. The in-room services included a menu(!) of pillows you have have brought into your room, a mini-fridge full of drinks, a coffee machine, and a really great bathtub.
Daily breakfast is included in the stay and is an amazing selection of food that will keep you fed until dinner. It includes cold cuts, cheeses, eggs, breads, muesli, yogurts, cereals, coffees (including espresso-style drinks), juices and the like.
The hotel has a lot of activities that you can sign up for that are include in your stay (and a few activities that cost extra). I went mushroom picking with one other guest and the hotel general manager as our guide. He was very friendly and hospitable. Great guy overall. The hotel then made a risotto out of our picked mushrooms as well as jarring some for taking home.
The hotel has an alright bike storage and a pretty solid bike wash station for those that come for the biking. Bike rentals are also available if you need it.
Prices for the restaurant for dinner aren't cheap but the food is amazing.
I would gladly book the hotel again if I were to come back to the area.
