Many years ago, when I was around 15 or 16, I had the privilege of staying at Shangri-La Le Touessrok with my family. Today, as I’m about to turn 30, I still remember those two days so vividly — the turquoise lagoon, the peaceful atmosphere, and the feeling of pure escape. It truly felt magical. Some places fade from memory over time, but this resort never did. It left such a strong and beautiful impression on me that I still talk about it today. The experience was more than just a stay — it was a memory that stayed with me into adulthood. As I approach this milestone birthday, I find myself wishing I could relive even a small part of that experience — perhaps by returning for a breakfast or dinner to reconnect with those special memories. It would mean a lot to revisit a place that played such a memorable role in my teenage years. Thank you for creating timeless experiences that stay in people’s hearts for decades.

Also the second stay at Shangri-La Le Touessrok was absolutely exceptional and truly unforgettable. We arrived early, well before check-in time, and were warmly welcomed by the staff and kindly invited to enjoy breakfast while everything was being prepared. Shortly afterwards, we were already able to move into our room — a level of hospitality that immediately made us feel valued and relaxed. The resort itself is stunningly located, surrounded by breathtaking scenery, with beautiful private beaches, immaculate pool areas, and a peaceful, luxurious atmosphere throughout. The rooms are modern, spotless, and very comfortable, offering the perfect retreat after a day in paradise. The food was outstanding — diverse, fresh, and consistently of the highest quality. Every meal felt special. What truly sets this hotel apart, however, is the staff: every single member of the team was attentive, professional, and genuinely friendly, always going the extra mile to ensure guests feel welcome and cared for. We enjoyed our stay so much that we didn’t even consider looking for another hotel. In fact, we are returning this February for the third year in a row — which says everything about how much we love this place. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Resort That Ruined All Other Resorts I’ve visited Shangri-La Le Touessrok three times — 2003, 2014, and 2017. On our first visit, our son was 5 (now 27) and our daughter 1 (now 22) 😂. By the third visit, we had three kids, with our youngest 2 (now 16). That alone says why we kept returning! From the moment you arrive, it’s magical — Chinese gong, cold towels, staff helping with luggage and kids, and a personal butler to bring anything you need. The restaurant staff are amazing — they play with kids while you eat, and there’s even a baby food section. The kids’ club is a true Peter Pan–style heaven: activities, excursions, friendships — while kids are happily engaged, parents can relax. Around the pools, ladies in white kaftans ensure you always have dry towels. Our son played soccer with staff almost every day, and our youngest had special baths with mini ducks and rose petals. All baby toiletries were provided. The spa is incredible — not just a massage, but a true floating experience. The bathrooms are legendary — egg-shaped tubs, amazing views, open-plan luxury — we even recreated this feeling in our own home. On the private island, Mr Amin greeted us with towels and rose water sprays, and Mr Ameen gifted my daughter a pink pearl necklace she still treasures. Small details like lime-vanilla towels, perfectly rolled pool towels, and someone cleaning your sunglasses quietly make the experience unforgettable. We travel a lot, and nothing compares to Le Touessrok’s service, warmth, and attention to detail. We are hoping to return again this year — it will always feel like home.

We stayed at this hotel for five nights and had an exceptional experience. The hotel offers what is arguably the best beach in Mauritius, complete with its own private island and a wide range of activities, so there’s truly no need to leave the property. The rooms are very spacious, spotlessly clean, and extremely comfortable, making our stay even more enjoyable. The food was delicious, and everything throughout the hotel was immaculate. The pool area deserves special mention as well—amazing, cozy, and perfectly designed for relaxation at any time of the day. What truly stood out was the professionalism of the staff and management. When we mentioned a minor inconvenience related to an incident, the team immediately stepped in and handled the situation with remarkable care and professionalism. The level of staff management here is outstanding—one of the best we’ve experienced. Every hotel we’ve reviewed in the past could learn from the way this hotel’s team operates. They genuinely made us feel at home, which is why we are 100% certain we will be coming back. Special mention goes to the two head managers and everyone working at the Coco restaurant. We enjoyed the most beautiful views and received exceptional hospitality during both breakfast and dinner.

My stay at Shangri-La Mauritius has been an absolutely wonderful experience. Leaving was much harder than I expected—I really needed this getaway! Truly, Shangri-La lives up to its name for me. From the very start, even the taxi ride to the hotel was pleasant, with our driver sharing brief but interesting insights about the country, which made the journey even more enjoyable. It’s impossible to name everyone individually, but I would especially like to thank Jessica, who kindly took care of our room needs and always went out of her way to fulfill our wishes. Also, Jean-Marc at reception, whose smile brightened our days, and Laurent, who helped me improve my exercises at the gym. A special shout-out to the amazing team organizing snorkeling and other water activities—they are so friendly, patient, and always ready to explain everything thoroughly. Many thanks also to the maintenance team, who quickly resolved a shower issue and helped us find the best solution. I also want to warmly thank the staff at the souvenir shop on the beach, who showed incredible patience while I tried on all the bracelets—it truly made the experience even more enjoyable. I felt so well cared for at the Chi Spa and, of course, thanks to all the staff at the buffets, the chefs, and the waiters—your work is truly appreciated for me!!
