Rosapenna Hotel & Golf Resort

The rooms etc are 4/5 star in terms of layout, bedding, bathrooms etc and the bar / restaurant staff are both professional and friendly plus the breakfast is high quality. Those are the good points. The reason for the overall 2* review is the fact that the night / bar staff are more interested in finishing early than providing the hospitality service anyone paying to stay in this (or any 4/5 star hotel) would expect. In my case I had dinner with my friends in the village then walked back to the hotel arriving at 23:30 intending to have a relaxing drink / nightcap before we went to bed only to be greeted by a person on reception who informed us that the bar was closed and the staff had gone home leaving us no choice but to go to our respective rooms. It's not a big deal but when paying to stay in a nice hotel I expect the bar to be open for residents at least until local bars close and possibly later. I don't expect them to close before local bars close. I look forward to returning to Rosapena to enjoy the wonderful golf courses and local bars and restaurants but next time my friends and I willI book an AirBnB.

Rosapenna never disappoints! The setting is magical overlooking Sheephaven Bay, the staff goes over and above to make sure your stay is perfect, the food is excellent, and the golf is out of this world. St. Patrick’s gets all the notoriety and it is deserved but Old Tom Morris and Sandy Hills are excellent as well. Get up there for a weekend or stay for a week. You will absolutely fall in love with this place.

Outstanding hotel, even better people working there. From Ester and Helena giving us great local recommendations, Darren and Micheal in the bar, to Geraldine at breakfast, they were all brilliant and made the trip. St Patricks golf course is just perfection. Highly recommend, will be back.

Our stay at Rosapenna was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, we were treated to world-class customer service that far exceeded our expectations. Every member of the staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome, valued, and completely relaxed. The resort itself is located on a breathtakingly beautiful piece of property. The views are stunning, the accommodations are luxurious and every detail is clearly cared for with pride. As golf lovers, we were blown away by the quality of the 3 courses. It was hands down one of the best golfing experiences we’ve ever had—challenging, scenic, and immaculately maintained. We can’t wait to return.

World class resort. Just back from an amazing 4 night golf trip. Rooms were beautiful and spacious with instant hot water. Staff were very helpful, when needed. The food was delicious and plentiful but the best part of the trip were the golf courses, Sandy Hills and The Old Tom Morris. Both were stunning with their own levels of difficulty and beauty. Absolutely stunning part of Ireland and the World. Simply can't wait to return.
