Pestana Vintage Porto

The hotel has a very dated 1990s design and appears to have been poorly maintained. There were broken light bulbs, a ripped sofa, and a showerhead that was frankly ridiculous. The toilet seat was heavily stained, and the trash bins were dented and looked neglected. Noise from outside was constant, and there was a persistent toilet smell in the room that never went away. The bathroom door did not close properly, so every sound from the WC carried straight into the room. Breakfast was disappointing, with pastries that were all below average, rotten apples in the lobby, and Nespresso machines everywhere instead of proper coffee. The furniture was scratched, adding even more to the worn-out feel. The price is highly exaggerated for what is being offered. This is by no means a 5-star hotel; at best, I would classify it as an old and poorly maintained 4-star property. Overall, it felt like a total rip-off. The clientele also gave the impression of being rather tasteless older guests. The only real positive point was the nice view from the room.

Best place to sit down and unwind. View of the River Douro is great but the exceptional service of Raquel made our afternoon spectacular. She had the most wonderful smile and amazing customer service. Awesome job, Raquel. You made our vacation memorable! ❤️

What a FANTASTIC hotel. The price was reasonable for being only 20 meters to the water. The room is comfortable, the bathroom has adequate space. Breakfast is included and it is worth it. We've been traveling across Spain and Portugal and this is one of the best breakfasts we've had. The front desk staff was exemplary, providing restaurant recommendations and even making reservations for us. Special shout out to Marta from guest services. Highly recommend!

Great location. Overlooking the Douro River, on Praca de Riberia. Very comfortable bedrooms. Staff were very friendly. Nothing was too much trouble for them. I booked a massage, in advance, at one of the other nearby Pestana Hotels. This was all handled very efficiently and they even arranged a complimentary transfer both ways for us to and from the other hotel.

This was our first time in Porto and from the time we got to the hotel to when we left was amazing. The staff they're courteous and friendly. The room was clean and comfortable. They have some cute comfortable sitting areas upstairs where you have a view of the river. Would definitely recommend this hotel. Would stay there again.
