Really enjoyed my very brief stay at Gramacho. It exceeded expectataions on every front. Friendly staff, lovely room and great value. I look forward to returning and playing a bit of golf on their manicured course next time I visit Ferraguda.

I had a very disappointing experience at Pestana Gramacho Residences.
For three consecutive nights there was no running water in my room — no shower, no sink, and not even the toilet flush. On two occasions, I was forced to use the swimming pool late at night just to wash myself, which is absolutely unacceptable for a hotel of this category.
In addition, my room went three days without any cleaning service. Only after I went to the reception personally did they remove the garbage and provide fresh towels.
I also tried several times to contact the hotel by written messages, but never received a reply. The lack of communication, combined with such basic service failures, made the stay extremely unpleasant.
This experience was far below the standards expected from the Pestana brand. I cannot recommend this property until serious improvements are made.

This hotel is wonderful if you want to be away from everyone in a quiet place. For a family with 2 kids that just want a place to shower and sleep it might have been too much. Also, the rooms are in need of some TLC. Smelling mouldy and with patches of wall without paint it is not really worth the €250 a night... Kitchen was not well equipped, example, no bottle opener! And if you have mobility issues I suggest you pick another place to stay, parking the car is easy but you might have to walk up a steep slope to get to the hotel, also the rooms are based on a vertical construction concept where you have double or twin beds per floor. Very nice architectural design but not for smaller kids or people who have mobility impairments. This place I might pass for the next few years, might consider it for when I retire and just want a place to read a book....

Utterly abysmal level of customer service
Stayed at Gramacho residences with friends for a golf trip. Half our group did not receive towels on day 1. We spoke to various Pestana employees multiple times to request these. In every case, we were either told it was not possible to get towels because the housekeeping team were not available, or were promised towels during the day only for them to not be delivered. We did not receive them until the final day, which is unacceptable.
Other issues with the apartment (such as lack of working Wi-Fi) were also not solved despite multiple complaints to the front desk.
There was a general issue of poor communication from staff and apathy when it came to solving issues. These were not complicated issues and should have been solved quickly, during our stay. There was also a lack of ownership and passing of blame between teams instead of a focus on fixing what was wrong.
I spoke with a member of the management team on the final day of our stay who was extremely apologetic and promised that we could discuss a resolution for these issues post-trip. She also promised she would take the initiative on this by sending around an email to her seniors and keeping me cc'd for visibility. None of the above has happened. I've now emailed the resort 5-10 times reminding them of the issues and their promise of resolution, but have not even received a single reply.
Utterly abysmal level of customer service. Since my emails have been ignored I would ask the resort to respond to them rather than offering meaningless comments on this public review which I see they have done to other negative reviews below.

beautiful hotel with great aesthetics, comfort and friendly staff. Honestly one of the most welcoming hotels I’ve been too with very effective reception and shuttle bus. Unfortunately I was disappointed to find that my shower had not been cleaned properly before my arrival, the wall was covered in a previous guests hair.
