This is a very pleasant 5-star luxury hotel situated in the Hoch Schwartzwald (Black Forest) in South-eastern Germany. The hotel is family-owned since 1446 (see picture)!! The village is very nice, surrounded by woods with ample hiking trails. It's also not far away from the nice Titisee (Lake Titi) and the ski village Feldberg. The hotel has a very nice feel with very welcoming staff everywhere, from reception to restaurant etc. The ambience is relaxed and pleasant. We had the all-in (I think that's all they offer) , which includes a simple but good quality buffet lunch, high tea with lovely home-made pastries and dinner in their restaurant. They only use local producers (they list all their producers, many are organic). Dinner is good, with high quality ingredients. It has mainly local dishes, which is very nice. I had the veal liver. Nice ingredients and flavours. The liver was a tad overcooked (calf liver should be slightly rose and tender). The same for my wife's medium-rare steak (which was medium at best), for which we paid €30 extra. Wine selection was good. Breakfast was truly superb with very good made-to-order omelettes etc. Our room (a junior suite) was very spacious and nice. The beds were firm and good. Free minibar. The bathroom was also nice, but it had a rather small bathtub with shower (with a small shower head), a bit cramped at the end of the bathroom. They should have used a bit more of the overall suite space to create a large walk-in shower. Towels were of good quality. The sauna/wellness area is beautiful and of high quality. Overall an extremely nice hotel, run by pleasant, professional and courteous people. It's not cheap (€560 per night for two). But given the high quality experience and all F&B (except drinks at dinner) being included, it's good value for money.

If there were six stars I would definately put 6. This hotel is the best hotel I have ever been in. The service is always polite and attentive. The decoration is out of this world and food is exellent. Great attention to details. And for an all inclusive hotel the price is fair. Details that we liked: -The salt and herb mix for a welcome on the table as well as the chocolate on the pillow. - I never saw dust. Nowhere. - tea time, very nice concept included in the price with some nice food and sweets. Plus live piano music. - very nice spa place As a conclussion it is definately recommended.

We had an amazing stay at Parkhotel Adler. The hotel is extremely comfortable and beautifully decorated with exceptional taste. The Christmas decorations created a magical, cozy atmosphere that made the whole experience truly special. Everything felt thoughtful and refined. We would absolutely love to come back.

Last weekend we tried out the “gourmet experience” program at the Parkhotel Adler. We were particularly impressed by: the beautiful wood-fired sauna the well-maintained park the tasteful décor the good dinner In terms of price, the offer is certainly comparable to other five-star hotels in Switzerland and Austria. Unfortunately, the service fell far short of the expected five-star standard: Reservation: 30 minutes before our arrival we called to make a last-minute reservation, but were merely referred to the online booking system. Welcome: On arrival there was no welcome drink, even though it was apparently prepared. Tea time: The quality of the tea time was very disappointing. Dinner: Another guest had to help us find our table—staff showed no initiative, even after a long wait. Breakfast: After being told we could sit wherever we liked, we were asked to leave the Crystal Room because it was already set for dinner—even though shortly afterward other guests were allowed to have breakfast there. Mini-bar: When we asked when the minibar would be restocked, we were referred to housekeeping instead of the staff taking care of it themselves. Other: I sat alone for 30 minutes in the area behind the lobby and no one asked if I needed anything, even though two other guests next to me were served drinks. We are accustomed to luxury hotels where the staff looks after the guests and adapts to their needs—not the other way around. On top of that, the sauna area has unusually short opening hours. When it opened in the morning, the wood-fired sauna wasn’t even ready to use, so we had to skip it before departure. Given its pricing, the Parkhotel plays in the same league as other 5 star hotels. However, the service quality fell well below our expectations—and, unfortunately, even below what we have recently experienced in some 3- or 4-star hotels, at times bordering on disrespect. We did not notice the hotel management at all—apart from the concert that disturbed our evening rest and was not mentioned by the staff at check-in. For these reasons, we are very unlikely to return as guests.

I cannot recommend this hotel any more highly, it was a wonderful stay. The hotel itself is interesting and you can see great care is taken of it. The rooms were very well appointed and a high standard. Inclusive dining is sometimes a sign you will have a limited menu - but not here, the choices were wide and an excellent menu. Extra touches such as afternoon tea an added delight. My wife had a massage at the wellness centre and she extended it because it was so good. One of the best she has ever had. And finally the staff - every single one we dealt with were excellent, helpful and attentive. Do not hesitate to book here
