Hotel Warmbaderhof

We have stayed in this hotel twice but will not be returning. The first stay was with our 6month old, and we were by the youngest guests. The stay was good. Service in the restaurant was impeccable and it was also possible to get eggs benedict for breakfast- not the case a month later. The most unpredictable part was the housekeeping. The first night we got the turn in service, but not the rest of the stay. Dishes from room service were picked up only a day later. The baby cot was the most basic one and it was never made. The hotel specifically offered a baby monitor which they never got to us. Same with our second stay. The second stay was during Christmas. Again impeccable service in the restaurant but the rest was far from the 5* we payed for. We were two adults and 3 children, a fact which did not sit well with some of the guests. We were approached by a guest who supposedly had a room under our who complained we made noise at 7 in the morning and also after diner, until 9. The cot, again, was not made even once. Piles of towels every day stayed in our room and not even a hint of turn in service, except for a Milka candy on the pillow?! Bizzare. The reception had the same issue locating the baby monitor which was not found. We received many stares by the fellow guests during breakfast and diner as our youngest raised his voice in excitement when we were eating. There was also some difficulties getting orthopedic pillows and the cosmetics in the bathroom was never refilled. There was a too narrow foam put over a couch streched into a bed. Not what we would want to pay for if we knew this is where our children would be sleeping. Also no slippers of there size. We mentioned our concerns at the reception but were offered a brief I’m sorry and handed the bill at checkout. The positive part was the overall cleaness and the level of service, but I would not recommend this hotel to families. It felt like we were in an appartment building with paper thin walls put on display as we obviously did not blend in with the rest of the guests.

Highly recommended! The rooms are beautiful with nice view, the service is very welcoming, and the location is quiet yet convenient. It’s close to the bus station, so you can easily get anywhere.

It started with disappointment, but ended on the highest level. At first, our experience at this hotel was very unpleasant, and we left a negative review. But then, the hotel director got in touch with us. He personally apologized and offered us one more night free of charge — in a better room, with dinner and breakfast included. We accepted the offer and did not regret it. This time, everything was truly on a high level: cleanliness, service, attention to detail. We were treated with great respect. It was nice to see that the hotel acknowledged its mistake and did everything possible to make it right. We sincerely thank the management and staff. Now we can confidently say: yes, this really is a five-star hotel.

We stayed at the hotel only one night, but I can recommand it! You have free indoor entry to the best Kärnten therme (from 3pm on arrival, till 11 am on checkout day). But you can also enjoy the whole day in the hotel pool (one inside, one outside and jacuzzi). Reach breakfast.

I stayed there with my parents. We do enjoy our stays in the hotel. Unfortunately, there was no wheelchair in the hotel available for my father during our stays in the hotels and the public transport was not convenient enough. It will be much better if they could provide a direct bus from the hotel to the shopping mall (ATRIO Villach). If not it will worth a full star. Apart from that everything was great. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Staffs were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was absolutely excellent as well. The thing that impressed us the most is the thermal spa. The thermal spa was really was incredibly nice and amazing!! Overall we enjoyed our stays in Warmbaderhof and we might stay there next time if we visit Villach again.😄
