The hotel is rated 4 stars, but unfortunately, it didn’t quite live up to that standard. The “double bed” was actually two single beds pushed together, which was uncomfortable. There was no sound insulation — we could hear the guests in the next room as if they were in ours. The building is quite old and doesn’t seem to have been renovated recently.
The elevators were another issue: only one was working properly, and during breakfast time, everyone had to share it. It fits just three people at a time, so there was always a long wait.
Overall, not recommended — it’s too pricey for the quality and comfort offered.

Located in San Martin de los Andes, the Patagonia Plaza Hotel is a beauty. For travelers, it's the best start upon arrival. The rooms are spacious and bright. They are very clean. The staff is first-rate. They help you with everything during your stay in a truly pleasant place, making the experience of this beautiful place soar. I would return again and again, at any time of year, even in the middle of August. San Martin de los Andes is a jewel of Argentine Patagonia. No matter how you look at it, the hotel makes it unbeatable. It has a very good, varied, and well-prepared breakfast. It's clear that it's designed for all nature-loving travelers, and that its breakfast menu should be designed for skiers who must maintain a balanced diet, which it has. A good traveler knows this and enjoys it. Spring is full of flowers, water sports, and hiking. This gem of the planet must be enjoyed to the fullest. You'll always leave thinking about coming back. Add to that the pool and other services for a pleasant and unforgettable stay. San Martin de los Andes is indescribable, you have to experience it and its inhabitants are very cordial. I embrace all those who enjoy this place in the traveling world.Venha com ou sem neve, venha com sua família, se nevar, simplesmente deixe-se encantar pela sua beleza.

I'm really unsure how this hotel has 4 stars. The rooms are small and very outdated. The pool and sauna are nice but there's nowhere in the women's bathrooms there to store your clothes/shoes if you go into the sauna and they instruct you not to bring your room towels there/not to bring pool/sauna towels outside that area. The sauna was not very hot, sat in there for an hour and didn't even break a sweat (I'm a regular sauna user and that's not normal for me). The water provided in the rooms costs $3,400 (I knew it wasn't free but this cost for a small bottle seems excessive). The included breakfast is not as great and abundant as it appears online - it's entirely pastries, cakes, and fruit. Coffee is okay. The rooms are very noisy, I could hear people walking in the room above mine as well as talking/normal conversations in the room next to me. I had to sleep with the air conditioner turned on (even though it was already cold!) just to have the noise drown out the hotel noises.
The staff were wonderful, very friendly, and I was grateful they spoke english. The hotel is located right in the center of town and parking was safe/convenient.
To me, this hotel was not at all worth the cost, stay somewhere else for half the price!

Pros:
- the staff! The staff! The staff!
- an incredible breakfast
- nice place
- great location
Cons:
- the bed and pillows were terrible. In fact the king bed was two beds together, which I’ve seen already but they used a pillow top to cover for the joint.
- poor ventilation in the bathroom, after a shower you would have a steamy room.
- no ceiling fan or cooling for hot days.
- the bathroom feels inefficient, most of the shower water hits the bathroom walls.
Note:
I would actually come back but it would be based on the great people that work there. The rooms need a lot of love, so does the pool
