Fairmont Orchid

The Fairmont Orchid was first class all the way. Our stay included a wonderful breakfast buffet and a 1 BR suite upgrade. I can't say enough about the staff. Everyone was friendly and helpful (special mention of Susan our server at breakfast and our housekeeper). This hotel does the big AND the little things so well. We really enjoyed snorkeling at the beach and the pool area as well as the deli and the beach restaurant.

We had another wonderful stay at a Fairmont resort in Hawaii. From the moment we arrived, Tiffany at the front desk was incredibly professional and kind. She made the check-in process seamless, helped us get settled, and shared some truly amazing tips for exploring the island. Our room on the 4th floor was fantastic, offering a stunning ocean view. We also spent quite a bit of time at the pool, where we met the manager, Maria. It was very reassuring to see how involved she is with the daily pool operations; her attention to detail really elevates the guest experience. One small detail I appreciated was the security of the pool services—requiring a room number for towels after 5 PM ensures the facilities remain exclusive to resort guests. As vegans, we were thrilled to find delicious plant-based options at every restaurant on-site. Beyond the food and the views, what stood out most was the atmosphere: every staff member we encountered seemed genuinely happy and was exceptionally kind. I wish I could name every employee we interacted with, as everyone contributed to making this a perfect trip to celebrate my husband’s birthday. We can’t wait to come back!

We had a wonderful 5-night stay at the Fairmont Orchid. All the food service outlets have great food options and the heartwarming hospitality service was impressive. The newly renovated Fairmont Gold Lounge experience was truly exceptional and exceeded our expectations. I would like to extend my sincere thanks to the Front Office Manager, Audrey, for her professional and thoughtful hospitality throughout our visit. Also, a special mention to Joey at the front desk for providing such a warm and kind welcome from our arrival to the check out. It is always a pleasure to see a Fairmont Orchid team delivering such a high standard of service. We truly enjoyed our time here and look forward to returning.

This is a great resort. The staff are knowledgeable and work hard to take care of you. The rooms and grounds are really well maintained. All that said: 1) unless you only want to hang at the beach you need a rental car to enjoy the island. 2) the RFID wristbands that open the room are a pain since you can’t use them for anything else - like buying a drink or spa experience. 3) you can’t open a tab at any bar unless you are sitting at the bar or have waitstaff We found ourselves having to run our own drinks when there was no seat at the bar. 4) great selection of wines and liquor but the could be more creative with beer menu. The food is excellent, we enjoyed our meals. Knowing what has been sourced locally would be nice since island care is very important to the people that live here. We stayed in January and were able to see whales while sitting at the beach. The spa massage was high quality and just what I was looking for.

Nice hotel, convenient to the airport. Really nice staff and laid back vibe at the hotel. Great restaurant and drink options. Scenery was beautiful and we enjoyed our stay. Great little cove to snorkel and take a swim. Hard to feel like this is a five star resort. While the setting is stunning, our room didn’t feel like five star resort. I am sure that there are nicer rooms, but just our experience.
