An Unforgettable Stay in Nature Blackwaters River Lodge is truly something special. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and completely at ease. The setting is breathtaking — surrounded by nature, peaceful, and beautifully maintained. The accommodation was spotless, comfortable, and thoughtfully prepared with attention to detail. You can really feel the care and pride that goes into every part of the property. What stood out most was the atmosphere — calm, restorative, and full of charm. It’s the perfect place to unwind, reconnect with nature, and simply breathe. Thank you to Elmay and the wonderful team for a memorable experience. We will definitely be back and highly recommend Blackwaters River Lodge to anyone looking for a magical escape.

Spent 3 great nights here. Wonderful surrounds. Another guest crashed my car in the car park but the hotel staff were really helpful in sorting it out for me.

We spent a week at this incredible lodge nestled in the forest next to the river and it was nothing short of amazing. From the moment you arrive, the staff make you feel more like family than guests. They are warm, friendly and always willing to go out of their way to assist with anything you might need. Elmay, the owner, clearly pours her heart into the place. The rooms are beautifully prepared, incredibly comfortable and equipped with everything you could possibly want. The lodge is spotless - fresh, clean and cared for with real pride. Whether you in the mood to do absolutely nothing or fill your day with activity this lodge has it all. You can sped lazy hours relaxing at the pool or choose something more energetic like hiking, canoeing or playing a round of golf. Knowledgeable guides are always on hand to help. The surroundings are breathtakingly peaceful with birdlife that is simply spectacular. There's also a lovely a la carte restaurant on-site should you prefer not to venture out, unfortunately due to us spending our days with family who have moved to the area we didn't get to eat there but what we saw looked very good. There is also a spa offering wonderful massages from highly qualified therapists. We cannot fault a single thing about our stay, it was an unforgettable experience and we look forward to returning.
