Best experience in Sardinia. I got a wonderful room. Staff is super friendly and supporting. The sea and the beach is great. Restaurants and breakfast awesome. Top of top.

Stayed one night here before leaving as it was within a half hour drive to olbia airport and I have to say, it was my first experience at a Michelin star resort and it completely met expectations. I was staying with my mother in a junior suite and every single staff member treated us with respect and kindness. They were very hospitable and accommodating, didn't meet many staff that couldn't speak at least basic English which made things very easy on us.
A truly impressive operation, from the beach, to the spa, to the rooms. Everything was top notch. Highly recommend. Their 40% off deal in off season was really a great value.
Thank you to all the staff that made our one night stay very memorable!

We booked a rather expensive 5-day short vacation at this hotel with the expectation of a truly top-notch experience – which was sadly a huge letdown. The property is beautiful, spacious, and well-maintained, and the staff is super friendly and service-oriented. The breakfast buffet is extensive and varied, but the mismatched, uncomfortable furniture in the "Mirto" restaurant has all the charm of a school cafeteria.
The property and rooms are a bit dated, and the furniture in our room (605) was worn out and, in places, stained. But what really ruined our vacation from the start were the outrageous and unacceptable prices for food and drinks. €80 for two clubsandwiches of subpar quality and two 0.33l Cokes at the pool bar? That’s straight-up daylight robbery. To top it off, we had to share this overpriced snack with a swarm of aggressive wasps. A small 0.33l bottle of beer for €11? A 0.33l Coke for €8? These prices are a joke. You’d never pay such outrageous sums in a 5-star hotel in New York, Hong Kong, Vienna, or Nice.
So, the hotel’s relentless pursuit of profit has effectively ruled out any future visits from us. We won’t be back – not unless they start serving wasp-free sandwiches at reasonable prices.

Good:
- location
- breakfast and quality of food in general
- acqua di Parma toiletries
- gym with sea and sunrise views
- small SPA but more than adequate for a beach resort
Bad:
- room cleanliness, floors were dirty and not properly vacuumed during our 7 days stays.
- bathroom size is small given the size of the room
- low quality materials in the room. I get the rustic look and feel but scratched plastic tables in the garden and stained floors are not part of it
- restaurant service is chaotic, everyone does everything. Lots of servers stepping on each other feet
- the beach is wonderful but it’s not serviced and around 500m from the resort. No bathroom, showers, restaurant or any kind of water sport activity is available. They explain that due to the fact that it is a naturalistic protected area, but those limitations should be clearly highlighted on the website and at booking time
- very cheap unbranded towels at the beach and pool.
- given the price of drinks it’s surprising that they were served with nothing on the side, it was also not asked to use if we wanted anything on the side.
It’s also worth nothing that it’s in a relatively isolated area (which is a awesome) so unless you want to spend the whole stay in the resort you will need a car.
The junior suite rate during our stay was around 1000€ per night.

We recently spent 6 nights at the Baglioni Resort in Sardinia and we loved it. We’re a family of 4 with two kids (13 yo girl & 10 yo boy) with quite a bit of high-end travel experience and we’d definitely recommend Baglioni. The resort strikes a thoughtful balance between luxury and comfort, with attentive service and a setting that showcases the natural beauty of the region.
**Accommodations**
The rooms felt a bit compact by American standards, which is common in Europe, but they were well-appointed and comfortable. The resort’s layout takes full advantage of the scenic surroundings, and we honestly didn’t spend much time at all in the rooms.
**Dining**
The resort’s food was a highlight. The Michelin-starred Gusto restaurant offered a memorable tasting menu, while Mirto consistently served quality dishes in a pleasant setting. Our waiter at Mirto stood out for her professional and friendly service. Even the casual lunches at the resort were well-executed—with fresh caprese salads, sandwiches, and seafood, all served with a view. And the bar area is large with very comfortable chairs and couches and a great menu. Another bonus is the music they had at the bar - each night was a different vibe and/or performer. Nothing too dramatic, just great piano or singing or DJ. We loved it.
**Beach**
The beach is a major draw, with clear, calm water and a peaceful setting and a stunning view of Tavolara. Yes, it’s a walk from the resort but it’s beautiful and is a good buffer for the resort from the beach vibe. Comfortable lounge chairs, umbrellas and attentive staff made it easy to spend hours swimming, reading, or simply relaxing by the sea.
**Excursions**
The concierge team helped organize two excellent boat excursions - one to the north of the island and one to the south. Although the marina was about an hour from the hotel—something to factor in—the outings were well worth it. We visited several stunning coastal spots, including Cala Goloritzè and Cala Mariolu. One lunch stop at Hotel Capo D’Orso offered great food and beautiful views, making for a standout day on the water.
**Family-Friendly Atmosphere**
One of the resort’s strengths is how it caters to families without sacrificing a refined atmosphere. Our children (ages 13 and 10) felt welcome and engaged throughout the stay, especially on the beach, which became a daily highlight for all of us. Lots of open space around the hotel grounds to throw the football or just walk and take in the atmosphere.
**Final Thoughts**
Baglioni Resort is a premium option and delivers a high-quality experience. Between the location, service, and amenities, we found it to be an awesome resort and one we would whole-heartedly recommend. Our time there gave us a chance to slow down, connect, and create some great family memories. It’s a destination we’d gladly return to.
**Things We Wish We Had Known**
The distance to the marinas is an hour plus from the hotel so make sure to factor that into your plans if you do a boat excursion. Also, transportation to/from the marinas was expensive ($400+ euro each direction) when we arranged through the resort.
Taxis are not a last minute thing. You need to arrange transportation in advance if you plan to go into town for anything (San Teodoro is super cute and there’s a night market that was very cool to walk around - they close down the streets to cars).
Availability at the spa was too tight to arrange a massage once there. Recommend doing it before you arrive if your schedule allows.
