Active Hotel Paradiso & Golf

Not a 4 star experience. We booked through Booking and got no check-in info. Arrived at 11:45 PM, only to find reception is at some other building with no notice. Staff were outside smoking, and the “head of reception” yelled at me (a female guest) for stopping briefly in front of the entrance, threatening not to check us in. Shockingly rude and unprofessional. Hotel is old, with poor heating and unfriendly staff. Definitely not recommended.

Really nice hotel on the quieter part of the complex. Rooms at the Hotel Active are excellent and a great choice of excellent pools, especially mid week as it does get busier on weekends. Shuttle bus runs regularly to Peschiera del Garda every day and only takes 10 minutes. The restaurant at the hotel, Il Pirlar, was absolutely fantastic, being reasonably priced and great quality! A special thank you to all the staff in the restaurant who made our holiday feel special every day. Thank you x David & Gillian

Perfect restaurant and wonderful panorama. The Chef is the best and the service is great. The rooms are old and the SPA is not very good. The pools are nice.

We were just passing through, but the hotel is very comfortable, in a great area, and a big positive is they do allow accommodation with your pet for a small fee. The two receptionists I met when we arrived, Stella & Amedeo were very helpful and received us with great care and a big smile! That also makes a big impression! Thank you.

Our room had contained ants and when we called about the problem the office told us it was our fault and to pay an extra £30 for a new room. They told us they came because our window was open Aswell. However the shuttle bus was very good and quick but when the bus was not in service we had to walk which was not easy as we had to walk on the highway. The check in time was quite late at 15:00. Lastly, we asked the reception to send someone to check the ants which were coming out the wall but they never did.
